Alison works in collaboration to deliver a Mindfulness-Based Supervision and Mentoring Training Pathway. The partnership brings together the extensive knowledge and experience of Alison and Pamela Duckerin and of The Mindfulness Network in a shared approach designed to strengthen and support the supervision community. This unique training pathway has a number of components that can combine to form a pathway, serve as standalone events, or be part of continuing professional development.

Mindfulness-based supervision and mentoring: Foundational Training
This three-day online training explores the underlying foundations of a mindfulness-based approach to supervision/mentoring, introducing a unique Mindfulness-Based Supervision (MBS) Framework, developed by Alison and Pamela. It develops understanding, confidence, and skills that enable experienced mindfulness-based teachers and practitioners to step into the important role of supporting others in their mindfulness-based work.

This 4-hour workshop explores You as a Supervisor through dialogue, reflection, and the use of the Mindfulness-Based Supervision Self-Report Competency Checklist. We will invite a close look at your skills, qualities and your style. and balance this by supporting you in identifying any gaps and areas for growth.

Ongoing Learning and Developmental Workshop: Working with Groups and Pairs
This 4-hour workshop will look at the value of group mindfulness-based supervision/mentoring, drawing on theories of group supervision in other modalities, with opportunities to build skills through practice and space to reflect on the process of supervising in this format.

Ongoing Learning and Developmental Workshop: Supporting Supervisees through Feedback and Guidance
This 4-hour workshop explores the spectrum of feedback and guidance within supervision/mentoring, holding in mind influences such as culture, context, power dynamics, and learning styles.

Retreats for Mindfulness-Based Supervisors, Mentors and Leaders
These specifically designed retreats provide an opportunity to come together with other supervisors, mentors and leaders. The focus for the retreats will be mindfulness and compassion-based practice explorations as a foundation for being in supportive roles. We will use a mindfulness-based supervision framework to guide the practices.
Mindfulness-based supervision and mentoring book study group 2026
This four-session group, facilitated by the co-authors, will provide space for collective reflection and exploration of ideas, insights and experiences arising from reading and engaging with the book Mindfulness-Based Supervision and Mentoring: Using an embodied approach to support learning and reflection.
